An entangled humpback whale showed up off Newport Beach on July 14th, 2024 which appeared to have about 10' of ropes with 1 loop around its peduncle. The following day, the whale was sighted again off South Laguna Beach. 2 days later, it was seen off Newport Beach again and appeared to be completely free of rope. Drone footage taken while aboard Newport Coastal Adventure.
