Ensifer adharens is a predatory bacterium specific to Micrococcus luteus. One of Ensifer's most interesting characteristics is "tracking," during which it flows along streaks made of Micrococcus. My student Ruth Isenberg has made a time-lapse video of this process over a week's time at room temperature.
