A simple and quick video to show what I just discovered. The boss will respawn if you exit to main menu, and then go back into the game. You can use this "feature" to your advantage early in the game, to get more runes, more XP faster, more epic and legendary weapons, and shroud cores to upgrade your Flame and bases.
