An enormous black hole has been spotted in the sun - leading some researchers to say this is evidence that the sun is going through something very strange.

The coronal hole was spotted using the orbiting telescope, which stares constantly at the sun to monitor its activity, earlier this month.

This is the first time such a massive hole has been found, or at least captured on video.
The Footage, captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory, shows parts of the corona with a giant hole in it.
