The ENOCH STORY:
Enoch walked with God as told with rocks and pebbles by Patti Rokus in her book, Bible Stories Rock - Rocks Tell the Story of the Old Testament.
Enoch saw himself as an ordinary person with a speech problem. Unlike most people of his time, he was raised to love God. So he kept to himself a lot. It took him 65 years to overcome his own self-doubts and learn how to walk with God. But once he did, he was unstoppable. Anything God asked him to do, he did, including moving mountains, protecting his people from wild animals and armies, parting waters, and many other miracles. Through obedience to the Lord, he learned the secrets for walking with God and being filled with His power.
Enoch helped so many people to have great faith in Jesus Christ that they created a beautiful city where everyone took care of each other, so there were no poor among them. Their hearts were pure and they were unified in all things. They called the city Zion. Every person walked with God in faith and power, even though they lived in a time when most people were violent, selfish and ignored God.
Eventually, God spared Enoch from death by taking Enoch and the whole city of Zion to heaven Himself, as explained in the New Testament: “By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death.” Hebrews 11:5
