➡️ When we receive the backlash that can come from speaking up about our faith, it’s easy to think, “Next time, I’ll stay quiet.” But that’s not the choice God calls us to make. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses what to expect when we obey the Lord. He shares about the life of leaders like Moses, Peter, and John the Baptist to illustrate how perseverance through persecution is where we find spiritual growth and deeper faith. ➡️ It’s easy to get worked up about denominational differences, religious traditions, or government parties, but when we focus instead on submitting to God’s fundamental truths in our homes, His expressions of power become evident. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses obedience at our kitchen tables. He shares the story of the Exodus generation and the first Passover meal, where the Hebrew slaves found deliverance through obedience and a family meal. God’s presence made all the difference for those families that day, and we too can invite God into our lives when we gather to share a meal with loved ones. How we use our kitchen tables begins to determine the spiritual authority over our homes, so let’s decide to give God that place.

➡️ We’re being forced to face difficult topics and situations in culture, and that will continue. But let’s determine to do the difficult things anyway, completing our God-given assignments with diligence. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can persevere in hardship by remembering what God has done for us and promises to do for us. We’re prepared to overcome when we continually remind ourselves of moments of God’s deliverance in the past, and our hope will flourish when we look to the future—to Jesus’ triumphant return. However, Pastor Allen emphasizes we still have a mission on Earth to overcome evil, and developing a character ready to lead will help us accomplish God’s purposes. We have a responsibility to the generations ahead of us, so let’s be prepared to defeat deception, fear, and failure through the power of God in our lives.

➡️ When we obey God by being baptized, God meets us and responds to our obedience. Baptism is something God does for more than something we do for Him. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the invitations God holds out to us and the importance of accepting those opportunities. He teaches specifically on water baptism, its history, and what it symbolizes: repentance, a burial and resurrection, and the beginning of a new life in Christ. Jesus Himself was baptized, and He taught His followers to do the same. If we want our lives to be transformed, then we need to take hold of every opportunity God presents us to cooperate with Him—beginning with being baptized into His Kingdom.
