In the 1940's, computer memory systems used mercury as an acoustic medium. Alan Turing suggested gin as a cheaper alternative.

Our gin is locally produced in partnership with @wharfdistillery and is available for purchase exclusively to visitors at the Bletchley Park shop.

Ingredients:
2 handfuls of ice
60ml / 2fl oz Bletchley Park Gin
30ml / 1fl oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
15ml / ½fl oz elderflower cordial
Soda water, to taste
Lemon slice, to garnish (optional)
Method:
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add Bletchley Park Gin, lemon juice, and elderflower cordial.
3. Shake for 8–10 seconds.
4. Strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
5. Top with soda water.
6. Garnish with a lemon slice.
