In this scenario, we will present how to configure regional redundancy by utilizing two Fasctonect links in Main/Standby mode using BGP AS Prepend in each region, complemented by a backup via RPC (Remote Peering Connection). This configuration allows traffic from the on-premises network to seamlessly reach both the Phoenix and San Jose regions through strategically established routing rules at the Dynamic Routing Gateway (DRG) level.
The redundancy offered by FastConnect connections in each region, along with the RPC serving as a last-resort backup, significantly enhances the network's reliability and availability.
