In terms of visuals and audio, this is a pretty spectacular boss fight.
In terms of gameplay, it's garbage.
Some tips:
- It might be worth stopping at graveyards (as seen at the start of the video) for Stimulating Boluses, to increase your Sleep resistance. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit them, but if you're passing by one then it's pretty quick to check the item drops there and move on.
- The Storm Caller can apparently deflect some of his attacks, though I'm not sure exactly how it works. I'm told his laser can be deflected with it but I haven't gotten that to work, assuming it's true.
- Bubbles: Stand still? Seems like they won't hit you most of the time.
- Laser and blue ball beams: They're pretty easy to block, even as someone like Wylder. I would just make sure to grab any decent shield during the expedition so you can easily handle these attacks.
- Tsunami waves: Run away from them.
- Physical damage buffs like Exalted Flesh will increase the Storm Caller's damage. I would assume this applies to relic effects like Physical Attack Power Up, too.
- Make sure you're fully charging the Storm Caller before you attack. MAYBE the uncharged quick lasers MIGHT be useful for popping his blue ball things, but it seems like it's better to just focus on damaging him with the charged attack. It takes about 4-5 seconds to charge fully.
