Engyoji Temple （円教寺） is located in Himeji City （姫路市） of Hyogo Prefecture in Japan. Located over a height of 1000 feet on top of Mt. Shosha, this temple is also called Shoshazan Engyoji. It is Temple #27 in the Saikoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage of Western Japan. Some scenes of Tom Cruise's movie "The Last Samurai" were shot at this temple precincts. From top of the mountain you can see great views of Himeji City and the Seto Inland Sea.
