Most common English slang terms (Including Cockney!):
- "You're fit" means "You're attractive"
- "That's bollocks" means "I don't believe you"
- "I ain't got the foggiest" means "I don't know/understand at all"
- "I'm shattered" means "I'm extremely tired"
- "I can't be bothered" means "I don't want to do this / I don't have the energy to do this"
- "Legless" means "very drunk"
- "Get a wriggle on!" means "Hurry up!"
- Sometimes we say "Quid" for "£"
- "I got nicked by the old bill" means "I got arrested by the police
- "Chat up" means to talk in a flirtatious way with someone in order to get with them.
- When a plan "Goes pear shaped", it means the plan "went wrong".
