An extremely rare Sulawesi crested macaque monkey was recently born in England-based Chester Zoo. The species is currently listed as critically endangered due to hunting and loss of habitat. Macaques, also called Black Apes, are social and intelligent monkeys with unique personalities evident in their facial features. Macaques are originally from Indonesian islands, and are known for their jet black hair and striking reddish-brown eyes.
