‘How Oil is Used’ the Commercial Vehicle Edition sees Guy Matin and Morris Lubricants' Technology Manager Adrian Hill, discussing why it is so important to select the correct oil for your commercial vehicles, HGVs and trucks.
In this episode, Adrian and Guy discuss the developments in commercial vehicle engines over recent years. The progression from the Euro I emissions standard for engines, back in the 1990s, to the current Euro VI release, has seen tougher limits implemented in order to reduce emission levels and promote fuel efficiency improvements. Adrian and Guy review the technology that has evolved to ensure compliance, including the function of aftertreatment devices such as diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and AdBlue Catalysts.
Adrian also explains to Guy how important it is for Morris Lubricants to make sure they develop tailored engine oil formulations to enhance the performance of these commercial vehicle engines and keep trucks on the road and out of the workshop.
