www.fom.nl/energy The Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM) promotes, coordinates and finances fundamental physics research in the Netherlands. Energy is one of the main focuses of FOM research in the current 5-year strategic plan of FOM. Efforts to promote energy research include the setting up of long term, highly funded research projects, such as the 'Next generation organic photovoltaics' focus group led by Kees Hummelen (http://www.groningensolar.nl) and the expansion of the former FOM Institute for Plasma Physics Rijnhuizen into the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research (http://www.differ.nl).
