Track 12 - Lionel Richie's crooning ballad in the original key of Bb played live by German cover artist NEO on his muted Yamaha grand triggering the enormous sound of the sampled "Giant", the biggest piano in the world manufactured by David Klavins.
This is a first-take live recording on New Year's day 2015. The intention of these videos is for education and of course showcasing my own abilities as a performer. You can book me worldwide. For those who are following this series of uploads. I also have a huge Yamaha C7 and a Steinway sample but only "The Giant" is capable of digitally reproducing the sound range and dynamics of a real grand piano, albeit it is not even a grand but an upright piano. That's mostly due to the sheer size of "The Giant" with strings as long as 3 meters.. Even though both the C7 and the 3m Steinway are sampled with more detail only the original sound of David Klavin's Modell 370i is powerful enough to make the difference in the digital world. Try for yourself. It is an investment of approx. 600 Euro for all three products with "The Giant" being the cheapest with only 99.- Euro. Props to Native Instruments and Galaxy.
