This is a port from MZ-80 BASIC to the TRS-80 MC-10 using Micro Color BASIC. Originally published in Your Computer Magazine, December 1981, it is a demonstration of some simple AI techniques applied to the playing of end game scenarios in Chess. John White was a prominent chess player and author. He has other articles on Chess and computers in Your Computer, which I hope to also get, and a very good computer game of Checkers in BASIC, which I have already converted.
