Megan introduces her book review of The Book of M by Peng Shepard, outlining her structure: discussing the plot, likes, dislikes, and giving an overall rating. She highlights the books unique premise of a post-apocalyptic world experiencing the forgetting, where people lose their shadows and memories. Megan initially believed it was sci-fi but later found it to be more fantasy. The story follows Max and Orlando/Orie, among others, navigating this strange world. Megan praises the emotional depth of Maxs character, portrayed through her diary-like recordings. She appreciates Shepards prose and world-building, though finds the lack of explanation for bizarre elements frustrating. The narrative involves a quest to New Orleans to find a rumored solution to the forgetting. Megans disappointment stems from unresolved plot points, unexplained phenomena, and a twist she finds unsatisfying. Despite some strengths, she ultimately rates the book 3 out of 5 stars, expressing doubts about reading more from the author.")
