Today's adventure brings us to Dyer, Indiana to see the final Hoosier State on June 30, 2019. This is an end of an era as Amtrak pulls the plug due to Indiana's lack of funding. The train ran from Chicago to Indianapolis on the 3 days the Cardinal did not run. Also the Hoosier State could be a mix of cars and engines, since Amtrak used it to ferry defective units to Beech Grove for repairs.
