===Wil's Commentary - Season 1===
This season is just... Wow.
Starting from Tangled: Before Ever After:
Rapunzel grows her hair back, and her father locks her inside the walls of Corona.
The season starts as Rapunzel tries to seek help from Varian to solve the mystery of her unbreakable hair. Experiencing events in Corona, taking part in contests and exhibitions, learning to prank and inventing stuff.
Varian returns in episode 8 ('Great Expotations') and ends up having Rapunzel and Cass join Varian explore the hair.
The season continues as Rapunzel meets Corona's historian, Xavier, in episode 9 ('Under Raps'), Rapunzel keeps exploring life in Corona as she gets more interaction with the pub thugs in episodes 10 & 13 ('One Angry Princess' & 'The Wraith of Ruthless Ruth'), with some events with her animal pals Pascal and Maximus, and her own mother, the Queen.
Things start to get complicated as episode 16 ('Queen for a Day') arrives. Varian seeks help from Rapunzel for the rocks during a legendary storm as Rapunzel handles duties as Queen for a few days. Varian's request was eventually denied as Rapunzel searches for a legendary machine to remove the storm.
The season from episode 17 never looked the same again. During episodes 17-20, Rapunzel suffers from the pain she had for denying Varian's request for help, ending with Varian stealing the healing flower for his father, hoping that will free him. However, the failure in his attempt led him to discover that the flower's power has now been held by Rapunzel.
As this season finale comes the events of episodes 16-20 came to a conclusion. Rapunzel has persuaded her father that she could handle her own safety and has set off with the entire kingdom to rescue the queen. However, set by Varian's traps, she eventually had to listen to Varian's orders. Varian's attempt to save his father still fails. Varian's failure led to him turning mad and attempting to destroy Rapunzel and her family. In Rapunzel's final fight, she was inspired that the rocks are connected to her, and uses that as an advantage to defeat Varian's machines. The episode ends as Rapunzel follows a path left by the rocks with her friends, and a mysterious figure with a dark matter sword that can destroy the rocks easily, following Rapunzel's path.

We think that the mysterious figure (or as known by us as 'the daughter of darkness') might be Varian's mother. That makes Varian a son of darkness and the season 2 content more insane.
