Week 8 of 52: Encouragement From My Mom — (Click "show more" to read more)
Sharing my thoughts on this video- I felt the beginning of the video was kind of awkward- I did think about what I wanted to say but it was late at 11pm and I was feeling really tired and the more I thought about what to say, the more I felt nervous so I decided to just go ahead and film not knowing exactly how to say it all but just knew what I wanted to talk about and that I wanted to keep the video as short as possible- straight to the point, basically what I did this week to improve my life, to move closer to my goals & dreams.
Growing up, from time to time, my mom had me read out loud a list of positive affirmations but I’ve never made it into a habit, but lately I’ve been reading and hearing about how some successful people have the habit of saying positive affirmations everyday… I’ve been meaning to try this. Actually, last year I came up with a few positive affirmations of my own- I am strong, I am disciplined, I am courageous, I am fearless, and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me but I was not consistent with it- so I’m trying again this year. This time, I have a note card with the affirmations in the goal journal where I will see it everyday and remember to read out loud the affirmations.
I was surprised when I finished filming this vlog that it was only 3:40 long… much shorter than I thought. I don’t think I saw the time at all until I finished.
Also, when I said 129th place… that sounded kind of awkward because 129th place is really good like Tyler is one of the 200 fastest runners in all of United States!
