(English below) Gameplay de Emperor: Battle for Dune, juego de estrategia en tiempo real lanzado en 2001 y desarrollado por Westwood Studios. Se trata de la secuela de Dune 2000 de 1998.
Podemos ver que en este han dado un gran salto gráfico a las 3D (y gráficamente no está nada mal para ser del 2001), además de que jugablemente es algo más complejo que los anteriores. También cuenta con bastantes más cinemáticas mezcla de actores reales y CGI que tanto le gustaban a Westwood meter a sus juegos para ponernos en situación de las misiones. Tengo que destacar también la banda sonora, bastante buena.
En este juego, al igual que en los anteriores, tenemos 3 casas para elegir, los habituales Atreides y Harkonnen, además de los Ordos, invención de Westwood. En este gameplay juego las 4 primeras misiones con los malvados Harkonnen, para no mostrar siempre a los buenos. Iremos conquistando regiones de Dune además de que podremos forjar alianzas o enemistarnos con otras especies, según nuestras acciones. Este desarrollo sin duda está más elaborado que en los anteriores, y con una mayor variedad de situaciones. También se ve mayor esfuerzo por diferenciar cada una de las casas con sus propias unidades.
Con dgVoodoo se puede forzar al juego a funcionar a 4K (con bandas negras a los lados para mantener la relación de aspecto).

Gameplay of Emperor: Battle for Dune, a real-time strategy game released in 2001 and developed by Westwood Studios. It is the sequel to Dune 2000 from 1998.
We can see that in this one they have given a great graphic jump to the 3D (and graphically it is not bad at all for being of 2001), besides that playably it is something more complex than the previous ones. It also has a lot more cinematic sequences, mix of real actors and CGI that Westwood liked so much to put in their games to put us in the situation of the missions. I must also highlight the soundtrack, quite good.
In this game, as in the previous ones, we have 3 houses to choose from, the usual Atreides and Harkonnen, plus the Ordos, Westwood's invention. In this gameplay I play the first 4 missions with the evil Harkonnen, so as not to always show the good guys. We will go conquering regions of Dune in addition to that we will be able to forge alliances or to make enemies with other species, according to our actions. There are a greater variety of situations and also a greater effort to differentiate each of the houses with their own units.
With dgVoodoo you can force the game to run at 4K (with black bands on the sides to maintain the aspect ratio).
