The webinar:

You don't need me to tell you that this is a wild, unpredictable and scary time. Everyone I talk to is anxious - whether they're worried about getting sick, about losing their sources of income due to the economic impacts of this virus, about not being able to get to their loved ones, or even just the anxiety that can come from being at home alone or with the same few people in a confined space at an already stressful time...

If you are feeling anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, afraid, frustrated, or angry... I want you to know that it's a perfectly normal reaction to a scary, unpredictable situation.

But there are ways to feel calmer, more grounded, and more in control during times like these.

Emotional Intelligence (or EQ) has been shown to be every bit as important (or more so) than traditional IQ in terms of predicting people's overall happiness in life, the quality of their relationships, and their reactions to stress. But what is EQ, and how can you 'master' it?

EQ simply refers to how well we understand and know ourselves, our physiological/emotional reactions, and how well we are able to navigate our feelings. It is NOT a magic pill or a way to switch off unpleasant feelings - but understanding how your brain and body work and respond to stress can be a powerful tool for navigating the stormy seas of a time like this, rather than letting the waves pull you under. I like to look at it as becoming a good captain of your "ship"... even if you can't stop the storm.

In this webinar, I talk about:

*The neuroscience and biology of anxiety and fear
*How your body responds to stress (even if you're not consciously aware of it)
*What Emotional Intelligence is and how you can stop your fear from overwhelming you
*How to be kind to yourself and approach crises such as this one from a place of groundedness, resilience and love rather than from fear and panic
*The steps I have taken personally to deal with uncertainty about the future
