Whist admittedly the law system is not 100% perfect, there have been criminals who escape prosecution and there are innocent people imprisoned for a crime they didn’t commit, but evidence plays a key role in trying to prove a point. People will not accept something as a fact without being given some solid piece of proof to back that claim and especially when it comes to if a person is guilty of a crime or not, if there’s not enough evidence or even none at all to back a claim, those who are given the role to judge cannot criminalize someone who could be innocent.
