Here's a real quick comparison of EMGs more "vintage" offerings, the 57 and the Super77 from the Retroactive series.

The strings were quite old, but I decided to not change them when I swapped the pickups, so it's the same old strings for both clips.
Guitar was my 88 Les Paul Custom played directly into the Diezel VH4 (ch3) and from there into the Two Notes Torpedo Live...no boost, no post-processing of any kind, just the raw sound.

I used first takes for this, so please excuse playing inconsistemcies etc
