The Result type in C# provides a cleaner way to handle validation compared to exceptions. In this video, I refactor a Minimal API endpoint by using the generic Result type, demonstrating how it eliminates loads of validation code while making the implementation more expressive and self-documenting.
You'll see where Result shines, where it falls short. Needless to say, the functional programming offers the solution to the Result type's shortcomings. But we need to understand the Result type first before stepping up.
