As copyright screen tells you, this is a porting from the NEC PC 9801 game by the same name. Generally I’m not fond of RPG games, but this is another amazing exception I really fell in love along with Demon Crystal III for the X1 Computer.
Original game is in Japanese, but I played the English Translated version since it’s too easy for us.
Less dialogues and amazing music made me love this game so bad!
The basics of this game is to gather all 10 scrolls scattered through the map and three gems in order to unlock the final area.
Every time you collect a scroll, you need to go back to the Kingdom and speak with the queen in order to deliver the scrolls for money.
There are even other important items to collect (I.E.: the cat’s eye and the black ticket) as well as other ones you don’t really need (the fairy, the crystal ball and the horn).
A feature of this game is that you cannot wear too much protections, since capability depends on the experience level you’re currently at.
You earn money in four ways:
1) if you find a box containing gold;
2) if you sell items in the shops;
3) if you deliver the scrolls to the queen;
4) if you talk to the princess after finding all 10 scrolls (I didn't do it in my video because I forgot it... and I even didn't need other money in any case LOL)
Maps are all mazes so it’s easy to get lost, but don’t despair, with practice you’ll learn how to play this game very well!!
Music is written by Kazuo Sawa, the same composer of The Battle Of Olympus for the NES, no wonder if the music sounds similar.
Each character has a different ending in this game and the Dionea one is my favorite!
Enjoy my longplay and don’t worry, as always, I’ll fix my comment with the exact minutes!
ITALIANO
1) quando si trovano monete dentro uno scrigno;
2) quando si vendono oggetti in un negozio;
3) quando si consegnano le pergamene alla regina;
