The Culture Series of books by Ian M. Banks is often cited by Elon Musk has one of his favorite sci-fi book series, and more importantly a big inspiration of his on how to build a positive future with technology. The books cover a new Culture spanning galaxies far into the future where AI gods rule. I think this is a fascinating peak into where Elon Musk thinks the future is going, from brain interfaces like Neuralink, to settling other planets with SpaceX and building a super intelligent truth-seeking AI with Grok.
