The versatile and fun pattern to sew, Ella, features an optional faux placket. While you can add this element to either the woven or knit option, our instructions only walk you through how to sew this optional faux placket to a woven dress or blouse. The pattern piece is designed to be cut on the bias to add a fun contrast. Certainly if you have a different vision, you can make the minor modification to cut on the straight of grain.
As we mentioned in the pattern instructions, when sewing with knit fabrics, there are a few more helpful hints that we felt you would benefit seeing rather than simply reading in our instructions. Melissa has some great suggestions that could be helpful for both woven and knit fabrics!
