An Elk Grove DirecTV customer says he was billed for both satellite and streaming service after switching to DirecTV streaming in August 2024. He says he was not told the services would remain on separate accounts or that he needed to take additional action to stop the satellite billing, leading to months of double payments and a disputed bill of about $1,400. After unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue, including sending a certified letter, he contacted ABC10’s 10 on Your Side. ABC10 reached out to DirecTV, and the customer says the company ultimately contacted him and resolved his refund issue. He also says the dispute hurt his credit.
