My apologies if you love this novel. Please feel free to refute any of my criticisms if you feel strongly about something. But I feel that this is a perfectly dreadful novel that is nothing but a massive collection of false starts that result in a chronicle of loose ends. Eventually she decides that the 'Ivan-romance' is the plot line she would like to follow. But it is so futile, it is one of the most uninspiring and insipid novels I have read recently. I have to say, this book embodies everything about why I dislike modern literature.
