Elgar conducts the last two movements of his Nursery Suite, “Dreaming” and “Envoy”, the only movements of the suite recorded in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen, then a 5-year-old Princess Elizabeth. She attended the recording session at the Kingsway Hall, London, with her mother and sister on 4 June 1931.
This video contains rare film of both Elgar and the Princess Elizabeth taken in 1931.
