The “three old ladies” of the Phoenix Zoo are getting a special day of celebration, Sunday, Sept. 27. Elephant appreciation day kicks off at 9 a.m.!
Visitors will have the chance to meet the elephant keepers and ask all their elephant questions, take an “elfie” with Sheena, Indu or Reba in the background. You can also help create piñatas that will be filled with elephant treats. Be sure to show up just a little before 11 a.m. to get a good spot to view Reba’s fire-hose shower, courtesy of the Phoenix Fire Department.
