If you're new to cellular IoT, where do you start? The traditional card SIM is being replaced by an electronic alternative, the eSIM, and even being integrated into silicon as the iSIM. But that's only part of the challenge. Security requirements and GDPR mean that security must be tackled as the architecture of your design is tackled. Join Stuart Cording, the #electronicsreporter, as he explores how these two solutions come together with Kigen's Toby Grimshaw and Zariot's Jimmy Jones. And, as always, don't forget to bring your questions!
This episode is sponsored by Circuit Design GmbH, the German subsidiary of Circuit Design Inc., Japan. They’ve been developing and manufacturing low-power radio modules, or Short Range Devices, for the license-free, European ISM frequency bands since 1974. Thanks to their low power and narrow-band technology, these high-quality transmitters, receivers, transceivers, and modems are highly suited to long-range battery-powered applications. Typical use cases include remote controls, telemetry, alarm, and security systems, and industrial applications where high reliability in wireless data transmission is essential.
