PDLC film is laminated into a high-quality low-iron glass or applied onto the existing glass
The properties of liquid crystals change when electricity is applied, making the film transparent
How does it work?
When the power is switched OFF, the liquid crystal molecules are randomly oriented, scattering light and the Privacy Smart Glass becomes opaque (private)
When the electrical supply is switched ON, the liquid crystal molecules align and incident light passes through and the Privacy Smart Glass panel instantly clears
