Simulation of an oscillating charged particle/sphere, which oscillates in vertical direction. Even though the charge moves at relativistic speeds, special relativity is not considered in the simulation.

First a silly close view at the oscillating charge is shown, followed by the same charge seen further away including three wiggly field lines. Finally the same thing with 100 field lines.

Far away from the charge the transverse part of the field lines completely dominate over the longitudinal part, which in turn is more prominent close to the charge. This is a well known feature of EM waves - the fields oscillate perpendicular to the direction of propagation. The magnetic field lines are manifestly not visualised here.

Done in Mathematica 11 and ffmpeg 4.1.
