Elden Ring's open world is vast and breath-taking, impossibly rich and surprisingly dense. We here at Rock Paper Shotgun have been playing the game for a few weeks now and can't stop talking about it, telling one another endless anecdotes about our adventures within the Lands Between.
In this video Ed Thorn joins me to discuss the game's open world in more detail, focusing on its caves, optional bosses and stunning locations.
This review does contain some slight spoilers for the starting area of the game. Although I've gone to some lengths to avoid showing anything particularly exciting or surprising, this video does contain footage of early-game bosses, locations, items and NPCs in order to illustrate the points we're making within our discussion.
