How to Defeat Messmer the Impaler in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC of game Elden Ring. Video shows using Antspur Rapier and Fingerprint Stone Shield on Messmer high in the Shadow Keep. The closest grace to Messmer is the Dark Chamber Entrance Grace. After opening a big door, Messmer is inside a large room. Messmer has a big snake with him and he will transform if you defeat his first form. Video shows using a Mimic summon as a helper. After defeating Messmer, the reward is a Remembrance of the Impaler and Messmer's Kindling. This Remembrance can be traded with Enia for the Spear of the Impaler (or Messmer's Orb). You can also get a full set of armor for Messmer from Enid. Later, the full clothing of Messmer is worn and the Spear of the Impaler is tested on castle guards.
