Elden Stars is nearly impossible to dodge on bad hardware, you will have to rely on staggering him out of it for hitless kills, or you can use the Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear to negate the dmg (though, that's not hitless)
At about 0:09 in you can see that Elden Stars is actually further in the 30fps recording, yet it just zooms forward to catch the player no matter what.

This is possible to recreate in vanilla, on my old gaming laptop I always had the "30fps" version (though my framerate was a bit higher), so don't blame the fps unlock mod. I used to think it was something more complicated with hardware, maybe to do with drivers or AMD vs nvidia at one point. I just knew that after upgrading my pc it suddenly got trivially easy to dodge in comparison to before. I genuinely felt crazy when sharing clips and people kept trying to tell me what I did wrong on the dodge, even though I was not doing anything wrong. I don't blame them though, they were just trying to help.
