Well, today was one mother of a day at Blue Island. We heard EJ&E 670, though I guess it was 672, being called upon over the scanner on the GTW Elsdon sub. So, 20 minutes later, I look down the tracks, "Holy Shit! Holy Shit!" Everyone looks down with me to see the head lights from an EMD barreling down the tracks. So everyone sets up for a rather tricky shot, but we all got it. EJ&E 672, the engineer could have done more with the horn, but hey, it's the friggen J in Blue Island! Many hours later it return running LHF. In total, including the two "J" sightings, there were 3 trains in 7 hours. Not bad at all for this line, not bad at all.
