More and more people are creating digital content, after watching this review you will know the benefits and disadvantages of using the 16:10 aspect ratio.

While many manufactures only offer the standard 16:9 aspect ratio, companies like EIZO still have plenty of 16:10 displays in their product lineup.

People who edit photos or video projects can benefit from the additional workspace, on the other hand, if you mostly plan to consume content than 16:9 is more likely the better choice.

Normal size monitors perform great and are suitable for the majority of people.

Creative professionals sometimes need a slightly bigger display because in video editing, for example, we heavily rely on the timeline and even a bit more space at the bottom of the display can speed up the workflow.

However, after editing the video footage, watching 16:9 content on a 16:10 display always produces some black bars at the top and bottom of the display.

From all my testing I found the 27” inch 16:9 works best for me because it strikes a balance between 24” and 32” inch displays.

Another consideration is ultra-wide displays, these offer an exceptional amount of space, but again, remember that every display that is not using the standard 16:9 aspect ratio may take some time getting used to.

The safest option for most people is still the good old 16:9, with other aspect ratios probably revered for people who like video editing, gaming and such.
