This guitar was a gift from my dad, Rasim, when I was 15.
He always loved the soft, melodious sound of a classical guitar with nylon strings. He would mention it every time I took it out of the closet and played during my visits to my parents’ home.
A few weeks ago, my dad passed away after four years of fighting cancer.
He was a cheerful and honest man, a devoted father, and a brilliant engineer. He was my friend and a true supporter. I remember once telling him about an idea I had — a mirror that would allow me to monitor my smartphone screen while recording myself with the main rear camera. The very next day, he built several versions of a device that could be mounted on a tripod together with the smartphone to reflect the screen. It had multiple adjustable axes and a double-sided mirror with different magnifications. I still use these devices in my work to this day...
This composition is called “Two Days to Spring.” I wrote and practiced it during my recent visit to my parents’ home this winter. It was the last piece of music my dad heard me play.
When there is nothing more you can do for someone, memory still feels like a form of help. He was the biggest fan of my work and a devoted follower of my channel, so I dedicate this composition to him and leave it here as a memorial.
