Eight people were killed in the third phase of Panchayat in Murshidabad district of India's eastern state of West Bengal on Sunday May 18. Of the eight dead in Domkol and Raninagar towns, five were activists of state's ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist), CPI(M), and three of federal main ruling Congress party.More than 35 people were injured in the poll violence.
