In this video we get the opportunity to look into an Ego 56V Gen3 BMS board. This board was sent in by viewer Russell Selkirk. He donated the board to see if we could learn more about the Gen 3 boards. This BMS board has a error. When button is pressed the fuel gauge one green led segment lights showing approx. 20% charge and then after a few seconds all 5 of the red led segments flash for about 10 secs. This is very close to the Gen2 BMS issue with error that seems similar. The Gen2 only has one led, but would also turn green for a few seconds and then the led would flash red for a about 10 secs. I have not found what causes this issue yet since everything checks ok and it always seems to leave the Microcontroller itself as a possible failed component. I had an unfortunate event on this Gen3 BMS board and while getting set-up to record and testing the connector was damaged (And most likely some other components). I really wish we could have got it all on video, but I was simply getting set-up and testing the connectors would fit my Gen2 pack before I could get started troubleshooting on video.
