Texans are paying more in taxes but are they getting their money’s worth?
Texas cities are spending millions of taxpayer dollars on nonprofit contracts tied to DEI, political advocacy, social justice, and other initiatives outside core government services. Now, new polling shows 9 in 10 Texans support requiring governments to undergo regular efficiency audits of their budgets and operations.
Texans deserve to know where their tax dollars are going and whether they’re being spent effectively. It’s time for greater transparency, accountability, and oversight of local government spending.
