Ahead of the interim EFC featherweight championship, the official EFC 137 Countdown documentary goes beyond the fight to reveal the lives, ambitions and pressure driving Chadrack Yemba and Faeez Jacobs towards one of the biggest nights of their careers.
Undefeated in the EFC and riding a six-fight winning streak, Yemba introduces us to his family and explains why kindness makes him stronger, what becoming EFC champion would mean and why capturing the belt is only the first step towards taking on the world.
For reigning EFC bantamweight champion Faeez Jacobs, the pressure is different.
From a troubled background to becoming one of South Africa's leading mixed martial artists, Jacobs reflects on how "Troublemaker" came to represent something positive and shares his ambition to inspire South Africans to believe that their circumstances do not have to define their future.
Now moving up a division in pursuit of a second EFC championship, Jacobs believes everything he has achieved rides on what comes next. He knows a loss could change how his journey is remembered, and he refuses to let that happen.
