joe smith | EEVBLOG/UEI 121GW Part 3B, ETL, Further Details on Part 3 @joesmith-je3tq | Uploaded November 2019 | Updated October 2024, 5 days ago.
It's been over two years since I looked at the 121GW prototype. I wanted to allow Dave and UEI plenty of time to address the problems before reviewing it.
In Part 3, we saw where the 121GW was unable to read the DC component of a biased AC waveform. In this video, we take a deeper look at the problem and rehash the old Gossen Ultra testing. You can find the original tests at:

One of the problems I ran into back in 2017 while looking at the prototype was with the VA mode. Roger, who ran the YT channel KainkaLabs, repeated my tests. He did a really nice job explaining the problem and how to work around it. I doubt I will go over this problem again, so if you're interested, I suggest you watch his video.
