Highlights of two young prospects (with retrospective commentary) who would go on to bigger and better things, and would fight Roberto Duran 3 times between them! Viruet, naturally smaller, is undefeated at 14-0 (3) and Mamby is already sporting a spotty 10-1-2....both men of course, would prove their immeasurable toughness throughout their careers, having 3 past prime stoppage losses in well over a hundred fights btween them!
Mamby is more aggressive than he would be known to evolve into as he garnered more and more experience and become more wiley and well-schooled, but his impressive long jab is already there. From the footage we have, it appears Mamby may have deserved the win. Comment with your thoughts.
