Can we talk about educational videos for a minute?

Because I think most homeschool parents have a complicated relationship with them.

We know our kids are learning. I've watched Emily learn incredible things from documentaries and educational YouTube channels over the years. Some of her biggest rabbit trails started with a video.

But I also know that feeling when the video ends and you wonder, "Okay, now what?"

They watched it. They enjoyed it. They learned something. But then everyone just moved on.

And I kept thinking, I wish there was an easy way to help the learning continue without turning it into a big project for me.

That's really where Watch & Learn came from.

I didn't create it because I wanted more worksheets or because I thought videos needed to look more like school. I created it because I wanted a simple way to turn "that was interesting" into deeper conversations and bigger questions.

So each lesson combines great educational videos with reading, vocabulary, discussion questions, and activities that help learners go a little deeper.

We launched the series with two topics I couldn't wait to create: Film History & Production and Games, because both of those subjects have fascinated us for years.

And honestly, I think that's the beauty of homeschooling.

Sometimes learning starts with a textbook.
Sometimes it starts with a documentary.
Sometimes it starts with a YouTube video.

And sometimes that's enough to spark an entirely new adventure.
