Manipur, May 03 (ANI): Employees of the Higher Education Directorate in India's northeastern Manipur staged a sit-in protest on May 3 against the extortion demands made by the militant outfits. The staff staged a silent protest in the office complex paralyzing the functioning of the office and said it would remain shut for a week from May 4. At least six militant outfits two of them hill based groups have been demanding money from the officials.
