The Farmhouse Garden Animal Home is located in Uxbridge, Ontario, not far from Toronto. For generations it was a cattle ranch, but in 2016 the multi-generational organic farmer and cattle rancher Mike Lanigan had a change of heart … he decided he no longer wanted to send the cows to slaughter. Mike invited his employee, Edith Barabash, to help convert the cattle ranch into a sanctuary, a safe haven where the animals can live safely and happily until the natural end of their lives. Thanks to Edith, who tells the story of Ontario's Farmhouse Garden Animal Home.
